Even at temperatures of -15c air contains heat. Air source heat pumps work by extracting this heat and using it to provide heating and domestic hot water. The extraction of the heat takes some energy, however a high efficiency heat pump will provide around 4x more heat than using the electricity as a direct heat source making them an excellent alternative to traditional boilers.

Mitsubishi Air Source Heat Pumps have now been around for decades and are the market leaders in providing this technology into the home. Using Ecodan proven heat pump technology will reduce heating costs and CO2 emission whilst providing all the heat and hot water you need.

The comprehensive Ecodan range means there is a solution for a wide range of dwellings from a small flat to a six bedroomed house. The ease of installation and the self-contained and stand-alone nature of the unit(s) means they are suitable for both new build and to retro-fit to an existing building. Retro-fitting can show significant reductions in cost, particularly against oil and CO2 reduction.

W140

This is the most powerful in the Ecodan range and a viable alternative to a replacement oil boiler. At a working range of 5kW – 14kW this unit will provide heat and hot water for larger new builds or for older style properties where the thermal insulation may not be as efficient. This unit is also available as a 3 phase option.
